Nitech’s steam jet
ejector is a simple, highly versatile type of compressor, usually applied to
create and maintain vacuum. This type of system has been proven to be a low
cost, low maintenance alternative to vacuum pumps.
Steam ejectors function using the principle of convergent / divergent venturi
theory. High pressure / low velocity motive fluid is expanded through a nozzle
into high velocity / low pressure fluid flow. The molecules collide with process
gases and move into the diffuser area where the energy transfer is reversed to
achieve compression.

This chart shows the application range of Nitech single and multi-stage
ejectors. Proper selection of an ejector involves engineering and manufacturing
skills far beyond those implied by it’s low cost. To assure proper operation and
maximum efficiency from your ejector installation, take advantage of the
engineering talent and know-how available from Nitech.
